Although the Swap Fee for MetaTrader and TradeLocker is the same, the charging and crediting mechanisms differ. With MetaTrader, swap fees are charged or credited to your balance at the close of a trade, while they only affect your equity while the trade is open. However, with TradeLocker, swap fees are charged or credited right away to your balance.
Thus, when transferring your trading account from MetaTrader to TradeLocker, any pending swap fees will be charged or credited to your balance immediately, which will be reflected in your Balance.
Please keep in mind that this only applies to your initial migration. Going forward, after you start trading on TradeLocker, swap fees will be charged daily at the end of business server time for the instrument you are trading with.
Rest assured that your trades will not be impacted during the migration process, as all trade parameters, including prices, pairs, account types, commission fees, and spreads, will remain unchanged. So, when you transfer your account, you can continue trading without any interruptions or modifications to your existing trades.
At present, the use of EAs or bots is not available on TradeLocker, which means that upon migrating your account, you will lose access to any bots you are currently using on MetaTrader. However, please note that our team is continually working to enhance our services, and we plan to add this feature to TradeLocker in the future. We appreciate your patience as we strive to provide you with the best trading experience possible.
It is simple to switch to TradeLocker. Just follow the below steps:
1. Navigate to the side menu and choose the "My Accounts" tab.
2. Tap the "Migrate"* button (if you cannot locate it, scroll to the right).
*Please take note that accounts with no active trades, no funds, or negative balances cannot be migrated. If you try to migrate such an account, it will be automatically archived.
3. A pop-up window will show the migration status and additional information. You may cancel the migration while it is still in progress by clicking "Cancel Migration".
4. When the migration is complete, you will receive an email with your login data and a link to access TradeLocker.
